Explanation of BELT CALCULATIONS
BELT LENGTH
The length of the belt can be calculated as
Lb = (Dlarge x π / 2) + (Dsmall x π / 2) + (2 x Dctc) + ((Dlarge - Dsmall)^2 / (4 x Dctc))
Where :
Lb = length of belt (mm, inches).
Dlarge = Large pulley diameter (mm, inches).
Dsmall = Small pulley diameter(mm, inches).
π = 3.14.
Dctc = Centre to center distance between small and large pulley (mm, inches).
